1. General Questions

Do you have a physical store?

No, we don’t have a physical store. All our sales are made online, and we deliver products directly from our nurseries to the address you provide during checkout.

In which countries do you operate?

At the moment, we operate only in Spain. However, we’ll soon expand our service to many other countries within the European Union.

How do you ensure that plants arrive in good condition?

We work with specialized delivery services and use packaging materials designed to keep each plant in perfect condition during transit. If your plant arrives damaged or unhealthy, we’re committed to replacing it or finding another solution that meets your satisfaction.

2. Product Questions

Do the plants come with a pot?

Yes, all our plants are delivered in their original plastic nursery pots, which include drainage holes at the bottom. Decorative pots are not included, but you can find a selection of cover pots available for purchase in a dedicated section of our online store.

On each plant product page, there is a section recommending decorative planters that perfectly fit the nursery pot. These recommendations include planters with the same diameter or up to 2 cm larger than the plant's pot diameter to ensure a perfect fit.

How do plant sizes work at WePlant?

Plant sizes are organized by categories, from XS to XXL. These sizes refer to the diameter of the nursery pot, not the plant's height.

This is the industry standard used by most nurseries. It reflects how plants are classified for logistics and transport, and it's relative to each species—what may be considered large for one species may be small for another.
Size chart (pot diameter):

  • XS: up to 8 cm
  • S: 9 to 11 cm
  • M: 12 to 16 cm
  • L: 17 to 20 cm
  • XL: 21 to 25 cm
  • XXL: 26 to 30 cm

How can I know the exact size of the plant I'm buying?

On each product page, you can switch between size options (XS to XXL) to see the specific pot diameter, approximate plant height, and images of each variant.

Please note that while pot diameter is fixed, plant height may vary slightly (within a range of a few centimeters) between individual specimens of the same species, due to the natural variability of living plants.

Why are some plants marked as “out of stock” for long periods?

Many of our plants are seasonal and only available during specific times of the year. When a product appears as “out of stock” for a long period, it usually means it’s not currently in season. It will become available again once the growing conditions are right for that species.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment methods including credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and Apple Pay.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes, we take the security of our customers' payment information seriously. All transactions are processed securely and we use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your information.

4. Shipping Questions

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time varies depending on the destination and the type of plant, but it usually ranges from 2 to 7 business days. We carefully plan our deliveries to ensure the plants spend as little time as possible in transit. For that reason, shipments are generally not made on Thursdays or Fridays, to avoid plants staying in warehouses over the weekend. Although this can occasionally extend delivery times, it guarantees that your plants arrive healthy and in perfect condition.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping costs €9.90, and for purchases above €50, shipping is completely free.

Why is the shipping cost €9.90?

We understand that €9.90 might seem high compared to standard shipping. However, our plants require special handling and packaging to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Each order is carefully packed using protective materials designed specifically for live plants. In addition, our shipments come directly from professional nurseries across Europe and are managed by delivery partners experienced in transporting delicate, perishable goods. All shipments receive priority handling so your plants spend the least possible time in transit, guaranteeing they arrive healthy and fresh.

Do you ship plants during winter or cold weather?

Yes, we ship plants year-round, but we take special precautions to protect them during cold weather.

When nighttime temperatures in the area where our warehouses are located are forecast to remain below 0°C for a couple of consecutive days, we include a heat pack in your shipment at no additional cost to keep your plants warm during transit.

If daytime temperatures are forecast to remain at or below -5°C for a couple of consecutive days, we may temporarily pause dispatch operations until conditions improve. If this affects your order, we will notify you by email.

What happens to my order during extreme weather conditions?

Plant health is our priority. During severe weather conditions such as frost events or heatwaves, dispatch and/or delivery may be postponed to protect your plants.

For cold weather specifically:

  • Heat packs added: When nighttime temperatures drop below 0°C for consecutive days in our warehouse area
  • Operations paused: When daytime temperatures remain at or below -5°C for consecutive days in our warehouse area

You will be notified by email if your order is affected by weather-related delays.

Why is my order divided in multiple packages?

Although all plant species appear together on our website, they’re actually grown and stored in nurseries located across different regions of Europe. Sometimes, a single order may include plants from several nurseries. To minimize transit time and ensure every plant arrives healthy, we ship directly from each nursery rather than sending everything to one central warehouse.
